Annual Campaign Celebrates EMS Providers and Caregivers

The Rancho Santa Fe Fire Department recently made the cover of the National EMS Week planning guide as a part of the 2015 EMS Strong campaign. Created by the American College of Emergency Physicians in partnership with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, EMS Strong brings together associations, EMS services, sponsors, and national media to honor the dedication of EMS practitioners nationwide.

ems2“The EMS Strong campaign identified the great relationship RSF Fire has with our private EMS partners at American Medical Response and invited us to the table,” said Julie Taber, Public Relations Coordinator for the RSF Fire Protection District. “We think the image they took does a really great job of promoting the importance of strong relationships among first responders.” RSF Fire, American Medical Response, and all the emergency responders in the 92067 area are humbled by the honor and privilege to serve their community.

EMS Strong campaign celebrates, unifies, and inspires the men and women of the nation’s emergency medical services. The campaign’s ultimate mission is to bring awareness of the nation’s EMS providers and services to other healthcare professionals, public officials, and communities. The campaign runs year-round, and this year’s National EMS Week celebration will take place the week of May 17.

Julie explained, ”The reality is that fire and EMS show up to help people on their worst days, but it’s important to recognize the dedication of our responders and caregivers 24/7.”
