Jackson Galaxy, animal advocate and host of Animal Planet’s My Cat From Hell, was recently awarded the 2015 Humane Award by Helen Woodward Animal Center (HWAC). The prestigious annual award was presented in front of an invitation-only group of special guests at a private home in Rancho Santa Fe.

He worked nine years on the staff of an animal shelter and has since run two cat-centered companies and become the host of a reality TV show. He is also a celebrated author and the co-designer of a successful line of cat products.

The Humane Award is presented annually by HWAC President and CEO Mike Arms to a person or entity that has made a significant impact on the world of animal welfare. Past recipients include Kristen Bell, Diane Keaton, and Betty White. For more information on HWAC visit www.animalcenter.org.
