This Sunday, Dec. 6, local high school student Maranda Phillips will hold her 9th Annual Howliday in a Bottle open house to benefit FACE Foundation, a nonprofit organization that saves family pets from euthanasia. The fun and festive event will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

The event will feature an array of holiday shopping opportunities, from decorative holiday bottles to candles to clothing and unique jewelry items. This year will also include a fun opportunity drawing, providing a chance to win your own AirBoard 1.0.

The event was founded in 2006, when Maranda began upcycling wine bottles by pairing them with holiday lights. Inspired to sell them and donate the proceeds to help animals, Maranda and her family began an annual tradition that has raised approximately $26,000 in total for FACE.

This year’s event will be held at the Sports Centre at the Bridges in Rancho Santa Fe. For more information visit www.face4pets.org/howliday-in-a-bottle.
