One of the area’s largest coastal wetlands, the San Elijo Lagoon, is inviting locals to see the unveiling of the spring season during their guided spring tours. Led by naturalists, the tours will allow locals of all ages to check out the blooming wildflowers and bustling wildlife of the lagoon – from various fish to birds of prey.

Guided tours are free of charge, but groups larger than five are encouraged to arrange for a naturalist-led tour on the online calendar. The nature walks will take place Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Nature Center, and 9 to 11 a.m. on second Saturdays of the month. To learn more visit www.sanelijo.org.
