The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy (SDRVC) recently announced a new nature adventure program called Watershed Explorers Experiences, a series of family-friendly events that highlight the wonders of the San Dieguito River Watershed. June events include a family kayaking and hiking adventure at Lake Hodges, in partnership with Outdoor Outreach on June 17; and Hodges and Horses, a short hike from Lake Hodges to Freedom Song Ranch to see Andalusian horses and explore a nature trail on the property on June 24. The July event is the Science of Flight at the Birdwing Open Air Classroom, in partnership with the Living Coast Discovery Center on July 15. There will be more events throughout the year as well.
