Guests and community supporters gathered for Voices for Children’s (VFC) 26th Annual Fostering Hope Golf Classic. The two-day event kicked off with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an exciting live auction at a private golf course clubhouse in La Jolla. Players returned the following day for the 18-hole tournament, with Rolf Benirschke, Russell Boring, Mike Brown, and Roy Burchill taking home the first place trophy. The Classic raised a total of $240,000 in support of VFC’s Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program.

Founded in 1980, VFC is a private nonprofit organization that transforms the lives of abused, abandoned, or neglected children who pass through the foster care system in San Diego and Riverside Counties by providing them with trained volunteer CASAs. Since 2006, the organization has worked towards the ambitious goal of providing a CASA to every foster child who needs one. Learn more at
