Find Discipline, Creativity, and Fun at Award-Winning GC Dance Company

At GC Dance Company (GCDC), students are encouraged to grow in their skill and technique all while having fun. “Our classes focus on technique, choreography, fitness, and fun and build confidence and lasting friendships amongst our students,” said Gabriella Carter, GCDC Owner and Director.

Dancers kept busy at the studio this summer with fun and exciting camps for all ages, including a Moana-themed camp for younger students, a Triple Threat Camp that focused on dancing, singing, and acting, and Ballet Intensives taught by professional ballerinas Krista King-Doherty, Melissa Sandvig, and Dusty Button. The studio also hosted a special master class taught by world-renowned Michael Jackson choreographer Stacy Walker. Many of these summer opportunities allowed dancers to try something new, give end-of-camp performances for their parents, and gear up for the fall season.

The fall schedule at GCDC resumes on Sept. 4, with over 60 hours of classes during the week, as well as a full Saturday schedule, in ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, tap, musical theater, and hip hop for students of all levels. Class sizes are small, ensuring students receive hands-on attention in a disciplined yet encouraging environment. “Our teachers are highly skilled and technically trained to provide quality instruction and creative choreography,” Gabriella affirmed.

Though the award-winning studio has been recognized for choreography, technique, and high scores in competition, “it’s not about the trophy,” according to Gabriella’s philosophy. At GCDC, it’s all about instilling excellent instruction and a love and respect for dance. “We love to watch our dancers grow and succeed as they discover more great aspects to their own practice,” she said. This attitude is valued by students and parents alike. “All of the teachers at GCDC have the same mentality: to motivate each student to work hard, do their best, and have fun,” said GCDC parent Jodi Sabol. “GCDC is a very warm and positive environment that also provides quality dance technique and progresses each student as a dancer.”

This fall is an excellent time for beginners to find their own passion. New students are invited to stop by the GCDC studio for a free trial week any time. Enrollment fees will be waived for those who register for a fall class by Aug. 15.
