AToN Center Provides Residents With the Tools to Live a Healthy, Substance-Free Life
AToN Center is an executive substance misuse treatment facility that offers sub-acute detoxification and residential treatment. The mission of AToN Center is to help each individual find recovery while equipping residents with the tools necessary to live healthy, substance-free lives. Jim and Patricia Brady are the owners of AToN Center and are proud to offer individuals the opportunity to recover in an atmosphere of natural beauty and unparalleled care. In 2005, Jim lost his brother to addiction. Jim and Patricia did not want his premature death to be in vain and envisioned a sanctuary for recovery. In 2009, this vision became a reality when they opened the doors to AToN Center, a residential treatment facility that is Joint Commission accredited and licensed and certified by the State of California. As Jim and Patricia Brady stated, “We personally understand the toll that addiction takes on families and we want to be a part of the solution to this devastating problem.”

According to Dr. Leslie Sanders, Program Director, research shows that therapy is effective when built on a relationship of mutual trust and respect. “At AToN Center, we offer one individual therapy session every weekday to allow our residents to build relationships with the clinical team. There are also three group therapy sessions each weekday, as well as a Saturday morning group. Our staff is committed to the long-term recovery of our residents,” explained Dr. Leslie Sanders. In addition, transportation is offered to community meetings such as SMART Recovery, LifeRing, Refuge Recovery, and 12 Step. With this exposure to multiple styles of meetings, residents are able to construct a support system that works for their individual needs.
Self-care and balance are hallmarks of AToN Center’s program, therefore residents are offered an array of holistic services including: acupuncture, massage, hypnotherapy, physical therapy, meditation, yoga, nutritional education, and personal training at AToN Center’s onsite gym. Recognizing the toll that addiction can have on families, AToN Center’s intensive family and couples therapy offers a supportive and therapeutic environment for families to come together and begin the healing process.
“It is our belief that a ‘one size fits all’ approach to addiction recovery can be ineffective. We are a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-based program, and our clinical team is made up of licensed psychologists, and certified chemical dependency counselors who specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma through a multitude of therapeutic approaches.” ~ Dr. Cassandra Cannon, Clinical Director
AToN Center is a private, 10-acre sanctuary comprised of five estates and is limited to 25 residents to ensure that individualized care can be provided with a high staff to resident ratio. “It is our belief that a ‘one size fits all’ approach to addiction recovery can be ineffective. We are a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-based program, and our clinical team is made up of licensed psychologists and certified chemical dependency counselors who specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma through a multitude of therapeutic approaches,” stated Dr. Cassandra Cannon, Clinical Director. Treatment plans are individualized to meet each resident’s unique needs.
The program at AToN Center is designed for motivated individuals, and the population generally consists of executives and professionals who are looking to make a dramatic change in their lives. For more information about AToN Center, please visit www.atoncenter.com or call 888-477-5328.
