RSF Student Artwork Featured in District Calendar
Celebrating Clean Air
Solana Santa Fe Elementary School students Audrey Hamilton (artwork above) and Katie Rockwell were among 13 selected from over 470 submissions by kindergarten through high schoolers across the county to have their artwork featured in the San Diego County Air Pollution Control District’s (APCD) 2020 calendar. The 13 pieces of art, one for each month plus one for the cover, illustrate the importance of clean air and how individuals can help reduce pollution. Audrey’s piece will be featured in April and Katie’s will be featured in August.
Other winners include Amy W. (Monterey Ridge Elementary), Jinyu Z. (Del Sur Elementary), Kaylee L. (Deer Canyon Elementary), Rebecca Y. (Deer Canyon), Vincent S. (Marshall Middle), Brian D. (Mann Middle), Hadassah M. (Torah High School), Rivka P. (Torah High), Christie T. (Inspire Charter School), Moya Z. (Jessie’s Art Studio), and Evelyn G. (Global Art Academy).
All art submissions are posted on the APCD website for public viewing. Calendars are available while supplies last by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information about the APCD and its work to keep the county’s air clean, visit www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/sdc/apcd/en.html.
